A good personal trainer should do more than merely coach you through a 45-minute workout session and say, “See you next week.” And George Tsemberlis definitely does more. A lot more. George is the founder of GT Fitness Concepts and has been training clients throughout the area for more than 10 years. He conducts fitness sessions in several gyms and will make house calls by appointment. His girlfriend, Ivy, is also a personal trainer who works out of a large gym in the area. For clients more comfortable with a female trainer, but desire one who shares George’s work ethic and knowledge, Ivy is the choice for them. George is as conscientious as he is flexible with his time and resources. “I’ll send my clients a text message, an email or even give them a phone call at odd hours and ask how they are doing…if they are meeting their goals, following nutrition plans,” he says. George is committed to his clients’ health and fitness improvements, and likes to make sure they are doing all they can as well.

Besides keeping up on the latest fitness trends, research and practices, George is working on a software program for his clients that will keep track of eating habits, calories, etc. “This way,” says George of his clients, “I can constantly monitor their eating habits - and so can they – to achieve maximum results.” He is careful not to use the word ‘diet’ but rather sticks to the term ‘nutrition plan’. George believes in everything in moderation, and not denying yourself the food you love. “My training approach is all about a lifestyle change, replacing bad habits with good,” says George.

His clientele runs the gamut from teenagers looking to improve athletic performance to hard-working professionals who want to get back into shape and increase overall health. He invites prospective clients and any interested in personal training to contact him for two free sessions. “The first time we meet I tell clients not to waste their time and money on a trainer if they aren’t going to put in the effort,” says George. He will go over any specific goals you have, will formulate a nutrition plan to achieve these goals, and help you get a feel for his training style.
